As we begin this new series of messages on the life and ministry of Simon Peter I hope you will take time during the week to reflect on Peter and his ministry. Here are some questions to help you in your reflection and/or with your Faith Formation Group.
Read John 1:35-42 and then Luke 5:1-11
1. What do you think led Andrew and Simon to be following John the Baptist near the Jordon River?
2. In Luke Chapter 5, Jesus asks Peter to go back out into the deep water. How would you have reacted to such a request after a long night of fishing? Why do you think Peter said yes?
3. Are there things or places in your life that Jesus is nudging you into something new, that may be incovenient? What can Simon teach us about how to respond?
